Thank You Everyone for Helping to Plant over 300 Trees!!

Thank you to our community for helping to plant trees with Tree Trust, Town of the Blue Mountains and Rotary.

Over 300 Trees were planted in two locations!
Great work everyone and thank you for your kindness!

In mid- April, a work party of five Rotarians, as many Tree Trust supporters, and two friends of Rotary managed to pot and or plant 37 trees at the town’s work yard next to the Tomahawk Golf Course. A large number of Sugar Maple saplings had been planted temporarily pending their later sale to individuals. At the cost of three potted more mature trees, more than ten bare root trees had been potted and mulched for future planting in TBM. Despite the blustery weather and the heavy nature of the work, all was accomplished in just over an hour.

In May many volunteers helped to plant over 300 trees and native shrubs along two sections of the Georgian Trail!
Town staff supported planters and mulched each tree the following week. The Town of The Blue Mountains
staff matched this effort and planted 300 more!  We thanks our community for this overwhelming support and look forward to future projects!!

We ask that you please consider watering the trees using the water tanks that have been placed in each location.
