Allan Crowe is a former Research Scientist with Environment Canada’s National Water Research Institute in Burlington. His research focused on groundwater quality and coastal issues.
This evening, Allan will speak to us about the seemingly more and more common problem of beaches contaminated with E. coli bacteria. The presence of E. coli at beaches is caused by both natural factors and activities of local residents. This presentation will discuss the sources of the E. coli, its health risks, and what beach residents can do to reduce levels of E. coli their beach.
This will be a very interesting evening!
